Kaela is a writer and speaker with an MA in English and Creative Writing. She likes to tell stories–-sometimes true ones, sometimes not. In addition to writing, Kaela works for Wichita State University’s Community Engagement Institute crafting communication solutions for non-profits and community organizations. She also occasionally presents on storytelling, trauma, and the way our stories heal us.
In her spare time, she plays guitar, works on her first novel and a collection of poetry and short stories, and tries to remember to water her plants. She lives in Wichita with her daughter, her partner, and their dogs, Harley and Luma.
Her blogs have been published with Harness Magazine, The Kansas Prevention Collaborative, and on her own blog at KaelaPrall.com.
