You are strong. You will continue growing and getting stronger because that’s who you are. Remember who you used to be and how far you’ve come.

You cannot be compared. Whatever you do, please don’t look at another soul and wish that you were more like them. It will only shake the solid ground you’re planted on. For all their beautiful gifts, they will never be you. And I cannot imagine a world without the wealth of brilliance and compassion you possess.

You are learning. When you fall, you will never fall alone. When you stumble, when you’re hurt, when you’re struggling to find your feet, the ones who love you will be there to help you up. We won’t ever leave you alone.

You have so much to offer. The lessons you’ve learned, the way you communicate and problem-solve, the new perspective you bring to old ideas, the heart behind every word you speak, and the incredible way you lean into relationships with honesty and kindness–the world needs you.

Keep your hands open. Don’t hang on too tightly to your past or the future or your dreams or anything that would distract you from today. Don’t hang on too tightly to the people in your life, past hurts, shame, brokenness, regrets. Keep your hands open to all the good things–and let the bad things go.

You deserve good things.

You will never be “that person” again. The one from your past, who was afraid and confused and alone and so broken–you’ll never be them again. There will be other challenges, other obstacles for you to overcome, but you are being made new every day. Don’t be afraid of the people you have been. They made you who you are today.

You are powerful. You are a force to be reckoned with. The world tried to shrink you, to make you small until you disappeared into their expectations and judgements. But you didn’t. Instead, you’re here, in all your glory. Living life on your terms, unapologetically occupying the space you’re in.

You are enough. There is nothing to add to this. You are enough, whether you choose to believe it or not. Don’t waste years trying to become enough, don’t waste precious time and energy wondering or beating yourself up for falling short of your own expectations. The truth is You Are Enough. You will continue growing and changing, and it really is okay to be happy with yourself as you are in this moment. In fact, it is vital to your peace and growth.
